New build: Four classrooms at Notre-Dame de Lourdes
This project involved the turnkey construction of four new classrooms on the playground of the Notre-Dame de Lourdes Primary School in Jette, Brussels. A passive prefabricated structure was chosen, with a focus on air tightness and balanced ventilation with heat recovery in order to comply with Brussels-Capital Region standards.
The exterior cladding is made of vertical Thermowood interspersed with coloured cement fibreboard. The sunshade together with the aluminium louvres gives the whole building a distinctive look.
