Kid's champagne, biscuits and a red carpet at VBS Lillo’s Klavertje for the opening of two new classrooms and toilets
After three months’ construction, the new classrooms (an extension of the nursery school) opened their doors to no fewer than 120 children after the Christmas holidays. The classrooms are interconnected, there are two teachers and the children can freely move from one classroom to the other.
Thanks to Machiels Building Solutions industrialised building process, efficient insulation and internal services were already fitted at the productionplant, significantly reducing the amount of work required on the building site and consequently cutting construction time and costs.
“The classrooms are just as large as before but now there is much more light and air. The large windows give you a more pleasant view outside, which we feel is important,” added headmistress Ingrid Vaes at the opening.
And what do the children think? They already love it!
