Holiday Park Dyy Eycken in Herselt Gets a New Lease on Life
The former De Dry Eycken campsite in Herselt, a well-known name in the Zuiderkempen since 1975, is undergoing a major transformation. What was once a lively campground bustling with hundreds of campers is now being redeveloped into a nature-inclusive estate featuring 32 sustainable timber-frame holiday homes. The first model homes are ready for sale.
After years of inactivity, Thomas Bienstman and Tom Heylen took over the site in 2022. Driven by their passion for wild nature and tranquility, they are creating a place where sustainability, architecture, and nature experience go hand in hand.
The homes, inspired by Scandinavian design, offer comfort and simplicity in harmony with the surroundings. With a strong focus on space, serenity, and greenery, De Dry Eycken invites visitors to recharge in style — or, as the founders like to say: “rewild in style.”
