En voor Machiels Building Solutions was de zomer van 2017 net dat tikkeltje extra warm. Terwijl de studenten collectief uitbliezen \u2013 of hun kennis bijspijkerden met het oog op hun herexamen \u2013 bouwden wij namelijk mee aan de gevel van de nieuwe Hogeschool Utrecht. Scholenbouw avant la lettre dus, in volle \u2018vakantie\u2019.<\/p>&#13;\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/machielsbuildingsolutions.be\/sites\/default\/files\/houtskelet_gevel_elementen_utrecht_0.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Een schoolvoorbeeld van gevelbouw in Nederland\nHH University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, kortweg Hogeschool Utrecht of HU, is \u00e9\u00e9n van de toonaangevende Nederlandse hogescholen. Bijna 35.000 studenten timmeren er dagelijks aan hun toekomst.\n\u00a0\nGevelbouw samen met SPARK\nEn afgelopen zomer timmerde Machiels Building Solutions lustig mee. Enige tijd geleden zocht het consortium SPARK, dat de opdracht in de wacht sleepte om de nieuwe hogeschool te bouwen, namelijk toenadering. Dit consortium, gevormd door de gerenommeerde bouwspecialisten Besix en Strukton Worksphere, mocht de vroegere parkeerplaats aan de Bolognalaan omtoveren tot een hoogwaardig schoolgebouw. En wij? Wij stonden in voor de gevel.\n\u00a0\nGevel inclusief schrijnwerk\nHet reusachtige schoolgebouw (ca. 22.000 m2) is ontworpen door het vermaarde Deense architectenbureau Schmidt Hammer Lassen. Deze duurzame Denen zetten een effici\u00ebnt, flexibel en duurzaam gebouw op papier, weet projectleider en specialist in houtskeletbouw en gevelbouw Ignas: \u201cHet gebouw is niet alleen makkelijk bereikbaar en toegankelijk. Ook de binnenwanden kunnen ze binnenkort makkelijk aanpassen. In functie van de behoefte van dat moment kan de indeling dus vrij eenvoudig vari\u00ebren.\u201d\n\u201cWe zijn fier dat we ons steentje hebben mogen bijdragen, in de vorm van een gevel, aan dit prestigieuze bouwproject. Machiels Building Solutions produceerde en leverde afgelopen zomer namelijk de volledige gevel in houtskeletbouw. Door de prefabricatie konden de arbeiders op de werf snel schakelen: het schrijnwerk werd al ingebouwd in onze productiehal in Genk.\u201d \n\u00a0\n3x state of the art op vlak van HSB gevelbouw\nDe gevelbouw in Utrecht is state of the art. De technische excellentie blijkt uit drie elementen:\n\nNa de montage wordt een afwerking in geanodiseerd aluminium tegen de houtskeletbouwelementen geplaatst. Geanodi.. wat? \u2018Anodiseren\u2019 betekent het behandelen van aluminium, zodat het materiaal bedekt geraakt met een oxidelaag. Het concrete gevolg? De gevel krijgt een geheel eigen uitstraling \u00e9n is duurzaam en corrosiebestendig. Als klap op de vuurpijl garandeert het achterliggende houtskelet een perfecte akoestische en thermische isolatie en superieure luchtdichtheid.\nAangezien deze bouw een samenwerking met andere bouwpartners vereiste, legde SPARK het moderne Building Information Model op. BIM, een buzzwoord in de hedendaagse bouw, is een digitaal model dat effici\u00ebnt samenwerken vergemakkelijkt. Vergelijk het met een virtueel 3D-plan, waarin verschillende partijen kunnen ontwerpen en becijferen welke combinatie van technieken het beste resultaat oplevert. Hierdoor verlaagt de kans op fouten in de uitvoering drastisch.\nTen slotte zal het nieuwe schoolgebouw (zowel bij oplevering als tijdens de effectieve exploitatie) een \u2018outstanding\u2019 niveau behalen op de schaal van Breeam. Qua duurzaamheid behaalt deze school dus alvast 10\/10. In dit project heeft MBS aangetoond dat de meest strikte vereisten perfect invulbaar zijn door HSB gevelelementen.\n\n\u00a0\n&gt; Van plan om een HSB gevel te bouwen?
